![]() The Hikvision Darkfighter camera uses IR sensors for brightness and information from a visible light sensor to produce the best by using both features in combination. Eyes use different cells to combine color and brightness information and the brain merges them to produce a clear image. Hikvision Darkfighter works by taking inspiration from the functionality of the human eye. Hikvision Darkfighter can provide bright, clear images right down to the lowest light levels - in fact to 0.001 lux. Hivision ensures a higher level of night security with the latest cameras of its Darkfighter technology - the DarkfighterX series. The camera can deliver full-color images at light levels down to 0.0005 Lux. This HD image carries more detailed information compared to 2MP models. The new DarkFighterX camera uses 1/1.8” sensors to enhance resolution to 4 megapixels. Hikvision Darkfighter camera images are much more valuable for evidence collecting and case solving. Now, faces are sharper and easier to recognize with a clear picture of the surroundings even in the lowest light. It is a fact that 70% of crimes occur at night and traditional cameras remain unable to deliver sharper images but Hikvision Darkfighter has improved image quality largely. The advancement in technology has made it possible to achieve smarter event detection with a higher resolution and a clearer image to identify details of the event. The Hikvision DarkfighterX cameras combine two images together to produce a clear image. Hikvision DarkFighterX technology launched in 2017 - taking inspiration from the function of the human eye that employs two lenses - one lens captures the color of the object while the other captures light details. Hikvision, the leading supplier of video surveillance products and solutions of innovative technology, has released its new camera, doubling the resolution of the previous model for clear images in low-light environments. Where to Use Hikvision DarkFighter Camera?.Why Choose Hikvision DarkFighter Camera?.How Does Hikvision Darkfighter Camera Work?.Since most crimes happen at night, improving video quality in low-light environments is one of the most important concerns of the video surveillance industry. Probably no problem in a commercial install, but it may really stand out on a small house porch, etc. With security awareness spreading across the globe, high-quality security and video surveillance have become a basic requirement of everyone whether it is a business, transportation industry, any commercial or residential sector. Keep in mind that the Darkfighter units are physically a lot bigger too. It was borderline before (pending lighting conditions/angle of plate/etc) - but much more successful now - until sunset. (Much like the general optical rules of full frame vs APS-C SLR cameras) From experiencing of upgrading from 3MP to 8MP - the 8MP 4mm is more like a 3MP 2.8mm lens! whilst on the topic of the 8MP - it's dramatically better during the day over the older 3MP when it comes to reading license plates. I have a 3MP DS-2CD2335FWD-I (1/2.8" sensor) and it's night vision is better than my 8MP DS-2CD2385FWD-I (1/2.5" sensor) - but the 8MP is still better at night than cheaper/older 3MP DS-2CD3332-I (1/3" sensor) cameras.Īlso I forgot to mention before, the larger sensor will also give you a wider field of view too. At night the extra pixels are pretty useless anyway as video compression doesn't help the cause for dark grainy images.Ĭamera Sensors will vary in image quality between models, but the general rule applies. I need to get the cameras today, would appreciate advise. Which brings me to Easy IP 3.0 Dome cameras: 5MP, 4MP and 3MP - the later two being listed on as "Powered by Darkfighter".įor my use, which is entrance/lobby area and open garage, should i go with 4MP/3MP ones or is the difference negligible between 5MP and others and I should just go for the higher MP? I've been reading up on Darkfighter and its sounds like "stealth" technology in that it really is a combination of various improvements that help camera see better at night and NOT necessarily the Starvis sensor - like Dahua Starlight. I got the 1.3MP one, but now thinking of going back and getting the 3MP. is that a bunch of hogwash? Looking at the specs I don't see any difference between sensors or Lux rating. The cheapest one was 1-line, he said for the same price I can have 1.3MP 2-line, and that the 2-line 1.3MP is as good as the other one. Is there a huge difference between sensor image quality between 1, 2 and 2plus lines? I went to the local Hikvision shop/distributor and asked for a 3MP Dome camera for indoor use (no need for night vision).
